Welcome!

Hello, and thanks for stopping by!  I am excited to share this new adventure with you.  I really enjoy being able to refinish old well-loved furniture and home decor and make it beautiful again, and now I have decided to take it a step further and turn it into a business!  The name, North Robinson Road, comes from the place we have been blessed to call home for the last 12 years.  We have raised our family here and made many fantastic memories.  I know the time is coming when we will have to say 'goodbye' to this home and move on, but we will always cherish the time we spent here!

I have enjoyed following many blogs out there, and I can't wait to share my projects with you.  Along with my refinishing projects, I will share some of my favorite recipes, quotes, etc.  It is sure to be a lot of fun!

For starters, I have had TONS of requests for a POT ROAST recipe that I experimented with yesterday.  I wanted to wait until I made it again because I forgot to take a picture before my family gobbled it up, but I have decided to go ahead and share it.  There are only 2 ingredients (okay, 3 if you want to make it into French dip sandwiches), and it was absolutely the most AMAZING pot roast I have ever tasted!  (I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying something new without a recipe and just went for it!)  I guess I will have to edit the post with a photo of my own the next time I make it so all of you can add it to your Pinterest boards too (for now I have borrowed a stock image from Google)

So here's the recipe...

THE MOST AMAZING POT ROAST EVER!

3-4 pound beef chuck roast
1 package Good Seasons Garlic & Herb dressing mix
1 package Au Jus mix (if making sandwiches)

Place roast in crockpot and sprinkle dressing mix over the top.  Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours or on low for 7 to 8 hours, until the roast is very tender.  That's it...Did I mention it was also the easiest roast I have ever made?

If you want to make French Dip sandwiches, after removing roast from crockpot, add package of Au Jus mix to the juices in the crockpot and stir until dissolved.  Serve meat on toasted French bread with a side of Au Jus for dipping.  Delicious!
